Annual user survey research
Every year we run a user survey to help us understand what our visitors need so that we can improve the ReachOut.com service.
We’ve run the survey for four years and have learned loads during that time. The fifth user survey is open at the moment. If you have 10 minutes to spare, it would be really great if you could fill it in. It helps us to help you!
What we’ve learned so far…
When looking at survey respondents between 12-25 years-old, we found that most were coming to ReachOut.com because they going through a tough time.
Knowing this, ReachOut.com now aims to make it as easy as possible to find information about getting through tough times.
Top sources of support
Survey respondents reported that when going through a tough time, they would be most likely to visit ReachOut.com, with talking to a friend coming in at a close second.
Understanding of mental health and help-seeking has increased over the four years. For example, those rating their understanding of ‘how to access a health professional’ as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ has increased from 18% to 42% over the four years.
Similarly, those rating their understanding of ‘how to help a friend through a tough time’ as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ has increased from 39% to 57%. These are really encouraging and positive results.
