Helping you get through tough times

RTÉ’s Late Late Toy Show is back in town

The Late Late Toy showTonight’s the night many Irish kids (OK, not just the kids!) wait for. The Toy Show is back – which means Christmas is really about to begin.

Tubs, toys and getting as excited as the children brave enough to go on the show – what’s not to love? If you’re like me and can’t get enough of all things Christmas, you’ll have the Top Ten Moments of the Toy Show on repeat all week.

‘Tis the season

There’s nothing wrong with a little nostalgia. Surely that’s what Christmas is all about? Family, memories and a little wonder?

The cosy glow of a TV, Christmas tree twinkling in the corner, sugary treats and a comfy couch. I can hardly contain myself!

Not all Santa and fun

OK, I’m not too naïve. We can all get tetchy around this time of year. There’s loads to do and everyone’s tired from a long year. There’s shopping, planning, money worries. Not to mention cabin fever from being indoors with the long dark nights.

Time out

Taking time to relax is important, even if the Toy Show isn’t your thing, it could be worth tuning in. Putting in a bit of effort with the family now might pay off closer to Christmas. It could be easier to to avoid conflict with relatives if you’ve started off the season well.

Also, who knows, Tubs and the kids might even give you a few ideas so you can get a head start on your shopping!
