Christmas is here!
So Christmas, it’s here! Did it really come early this year or did it all start at the same time as every year.
Love it or hate it, you cannot ignore it.
It’s a great time to catch up with family and friends and possibly a well-needed break from work or study.
But it’s not like the movies! It can mean enforced time with people you only see a few times a year and may not have a lot in common with. Differences of opinion or values can make an annual appearance.
With this freakish cold snap you may have trouble travelling, hindering your normal get-away plans and so could be suffering from cabin fever in a few days.
Spending this time with family, throw in some alcohol, and in some cases possible unresolved conflict can all lead to a very stressful time.
It’s important to remember that this is only for a few days and to try not to make any arguments personal. Where you can, take a break from everyone, giving yourself a bit of space.
We have a number of tips on managing relationships, particularly over Christmas, that may seem like common sense, but we could all do with reminding at times. It could be a good idea to develop a bit of a strategy to get through the holidays.
And on that optimistic note, have a Happy Christmas everyone!
