Understanding schizophrenia and psychosis

Schizophrenia is the name given to a group of psychotic disorders illustrated by significant disturbances in thought, emotion and behaviour.

People experiencing psychosis appear to have lost touch with everyone else’s interpretation of what is going on around them. Psychosis is relatively rare, affecting around 3% of people.
