Hi Melanie,
It sounds like you are going through a really tough time. Feeling anxious and depressed all the time must be really hard.
When you are anxious and depressed it can be hard to know how you feel about things. The feelings of anxiety and depression can take over and be really confusing.
If you are feeling anxious and depressed the extent that you are not enjoying the things and hobbies that you used to love then you really need to speak to somebody about it.
Family and friends can be a good place to start to get things of your chest and help you figure out how you are feeling.
If you feel a little extra support it can be a good idea to talk to a professional like a counsellor or psychologist. They will be able to help you come up with strategies to work through your feelings of anxiety and depression so you can enjoy your life again. Talking to someone about your relationship and how you feel about your boyfriend will help you clarify how you are feeling and get a fresh perspective.
We cant tell you whether you have fallen out of love with your boyfriend or whether this is your feelings of depression talking. This is something that you will have to figure out for yourself and talking to someone will help . It can be really hard to love someone or to feel loved when you are feeling depressed so it's a good idea to talk to someone about everything you are going through too. It's important that you give yourself time to work through this and don't beat yourself up about it. If you do decide that you are not in love with him anymore it's not something that you should feel guilty about.
It sounds like whether you are in love with your boyfriend or not you still really care about him. Either way he may be a really good support for you through this tough time. If you feel comfortable you should talk to him about what you are going through and let him support you and figure out how you are feeling.
I hope this helps.
Keep reaching out,
Roisin
Hi, my boyfriend and I are going out for a year and a half and I am going through depression right now. I want to be with him so bad but I feel like I don't love him anymore. I don't love other things/hobbies that i had before the depression. Could this be the depression taking over or am I fighting my true feelings, when I think about it, it makes me even more anxious and depressed. I was wondering if anyone is experiencing this right now.
very good, thanks for posting this!!
