User survey research

User survey research’s fifth annual user survey is now open. It takes about 10 minutes to complete and we really value your input.

Survey information

What questions we ask

The survey asks questions about your age and gender, your views on and your views on mental health in general. The survey also asks questions around help-seeking and getting through a tough time. By finding out about the visitors to, we can improve the service for you. We don’t ask you to give any identifying information.


All aspects of the survey are strictly confidential and only the researchers have access to the responses you provide. Your responses (i.e. data) are stored securely and will be destroyed once the purpose for which the data was collected is finished.

The results

Once we have collected the survey data, we analyse it and publish a report based on the overall results. Individual survey participants are not identifiable in any way.

Improving our service

The survey results help us to improve to better suit our visitors. The results also help inform key stakeholders, including the HSE and the Deptartment of Health about the effectiveness of in helping young people get through tough times.
