Ruth has been Australian Ambassador to Ireland since January 2013. Ambassador Adler is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and was most recently Assistant Secretary in the Office of Trade Negotiations. Prior to that she was Assistant Secretary of the Environment Branch. She has served overseas as Australia’s High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam, First Secretary then Counsellor, at the Australian Embassy, Mexico City; and Third then Second Secretary at the Australian Embassy, Manila.
She holds a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University, a Doctorate in Latin American Studies from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of New South Wales. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
David, a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, is a seasoned marketer and general manager and has held senior positions at Aer Lingus, ESAT and the Gresham Hotel Group. More recently he served as Managing Director of Bord Gáis Energy and Group Marketing Director for UDG Healthcare. David is also involved in a number of charitable organisations, sitting on the boards of the Glasnevin Cemetary and Trust, and serving as the current Chairman of the Gate Theatre.
Colin is the Managing Director of Macquarie Capital Ireland. Previous roles include Research Director at Goodbody Stockbrokers, Special Advisor at the departments of Finance and Transport, and Head of Trading Research at Bank of Ireland Treasury. He is a member of the Glasnevin Trust, and was previously a non-executive director at Aer Lingus, a member of the National Economic and Social Council and chaired the National Review of Higher Education Strategy. A native of Waterford, he has BComm and MEconSc degrees from University College Cork and a PhD from Trinity College Dublin.
Helen is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), for HSE South (North Cork), and was previously Deputy Director of the National Suicide Research Foundation. She’s a qualified medical doctor (University College Cork) and child Psychiatrist (Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, London). She is also a Fellow of the Irish Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists.
Maeve is a leading expert in online marketing strategy and implementation. She is MD and Founder of Elucidate, a leading digital marketing company which has worked with (among others) An Post, Enterprise Ireland, Meteor, eircom PhoneWatch, the NSAI, the HSE, UCD. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, she is former Chair of the Irish Internet Association, as well as the co-founder of the Ireland eGovernment Awards and Centres of Excellence. She was shortlisted for The Image Magazine Businesswoman of the Year Award 2012.
Eamon is a founder, an advisor to start-ups, an angel investor, and a tech community organiser. Based in Ireland, he sold his company, Orchestra (a Platform-as-a-Service), to Engine Yard Inc. in 2011. There, he held the roles of VP Engineering and VP Developer Relations until August 2014. He is currently in the process of founding a distillery, and will continue to invest in startup teams, products and opportunities.
A professional rugby union player, Rhys currently plays with UCD and Leinster. Already interested in using his position to further good causes, joining ReachOut.com was a good fit.
