Thanks to all who took part in Ballaghaderreen Cycle
Ballaghaderreen Cycling Club hosted a 100km, 50km and family 10km cycle on Sunday, 22 May in aid of youth mental health charity Reachout.com.
More than 145 cyclists, from young to not so young, took part in the sunny cycle through the three counties of Roscommon, Mayo, and Sligo. Towey’s Topaz Spar and Gairdin Bia served up a beautiful meal afterwards for all cyclists.
Big thank you
Ballaghaderreen Cycling Club wishes to thank all the cyclists, stewards, sponsors, caterers, helpers, Ballaghaderreen Red Cross, local Gardai, and all who helped make the cycle a great success. Go raibh mile maith agaibh go leir.
History of the club
The club was formed in 2012 to develop and promote the sport of cycling in the Ballaghaderreen and surrounding areas. The aim is to provide an opportunity for cyclists and cycling enthusiasts to be a part of a club that promotes cycling and to enjoy the social aspect of it also.
Weekly cycling spins of varying distances and pace are organised from mid-week to weekend. The club welcomes new members, from those who want to cycle socially to serious riders who are looking for something a little more challenging.
