Helping you get through tough times

One Direction, been and gone

One Direction logo '1D'One Direction finally arrived in Dublin over the weekend. There’s been months of anticipating, planning and dreaming. But, what happens when the music stops?

Since their X Factor days, One Direction have hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide. Getting a ticket to one of their shows is, for many of us, the ultimate dream.

Back to real-life

When you look forward to something for so long, it can be really disappointing when it’s over. No matter how good the show was, once it’s over there can be a bit of an anti-climax.

Remember the fun

To avoid post One Direction blues, focus on the fun you had, rather than missing something to look forward to.

Get out the photos and videos you took on the day. Enjoy going over them with friends and cherish the memories.

Spend time with friends

It’s tempting to spend time alone when we feel down. But, this can leave us feeling worse. Being with friends can lift you out of your post gig pit.

Plan activities to fill the week after the concert. Arrange to meet up and do something in the evenings.

Don’t let things get out of hand

It’s perfectly normal to feel down after something you’ve been looking forward to for so long has ended. But, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, let someone know.

Talking with someone can help you feel more in control.

Niall will be back!

You’re not alone, there’s loads of Directioners who’ve been there! Get your friends over, put your favourite album on, and enjoy the music.

There will be plenty more shows, songs and One Direction fun in the future.
