Helping you get through tough times

Anchorman 2, staying classy

It’s just around the corner and if you’re like me you’ve been waiting all year. Not for Christmas, but for the release of Anchorman 2: the legend continues.

Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy in Anchorman 2This week we’ll see Ron Burgundy and crew strut back onto the cinema screens.

After the last Anchorman movie, the KVWN channel 4 news team ended up going their separate ways. But with the arrival of the 24 – hour news format, the friends end up working together once more, only this time in New York.

Making friends with Will Ferrell

A few lucky fans got meet the stars at the Irish première last week. But even more fortunate are those who got to enjoy a festive pint with the Hollywood actors.

We’re told they had a grand old time with the locals, staying for a few drinks before attending their official duties.

OK, maybe no-one quite became best friends, but there’ll certainly be a few stories being told over turkey this year.

How are your own mates?

Even if you didn’t get the chance to cosy up with Hollywood A-listers, you could make time over the Christmas holidays to see your own friends. If you’re a fan of Anchorman this could be the perfect excuse to catch up.

What makes a good friend? Someone you’re comfortable around, able to have a laugh with, stories to reminisce over, or stories you’re creating for future reminiscing. In fact all things that can be done watching a Ron Burgundy film. OK, I’m joking, but you get the point.

Share Ben and Jerry’s, or another ice cream

In a nod to Ron Burgundy’s favourite drink, Ben and Jerry’s have released a limited edition Butterscotch ice cream – Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch.

It sounds pretty vile to me, but it could be something to try with a mate. After all, what is friendship if not a chance to have a laugh and experience new things?
