This film by young film maker Max at Anytime Productions tells the story of how one young man has learned to reach out to friends and family when he is feeling down.
It was highly commended in ReachOut.com’s Inspire a Generation Film Competition.
A new day transcript
I’m fine. I’m grand. No I’m busy. These are the excuses I use.
I ask myself, what is mental health?
It’s really just keeping your mind occupied, and happy with the things you enjoy.
Life is hard enough without having to live it by yourself.
My name is Max. And I still get down a lot.
But Now that I have the right tools, I know i can dig my way out of that place.
What do I do now? I’ve started to talk a lot more about how I feel, and I’ve started to feel a lot better.
I’ve learned to deal with my problems, and I’m not alone any more.
There are loads of ways. You see, when you don’t understand it, it’s hard to fix it.
You don’t have to feel alone.
